This is one of my two favorite native plant books. It is too big to be convenient to carry when working outside. If you live in Minnesota and are a fan of native plants this book is a must. It would be useful to me for identification purposes if there were more large images of close ups of plants. It does include a glossary. Peter Halden

Tekiela, Stan, Wildflowers of Minnesota: Field Guide, Cambridge, MN: Adventure Publications, 1999

This is one of my two favorite native plant books. It is my default outdoor reference. It is small enough (approx. 4-1/2" x 6") that is can be pushed into a large pocket. The plant photos cover an entire page. The wildflowers are classified by color. It provides family name, height, flower, leaf, bloom, cycle/origin, habitat, range and notes on 200 wildflowers in addition to icons that tell about cluster type, flower type, leaf type, and leaf attachment as well as a check list and glossary. It does not include a glossary. Peter Halden
